Service Description

In this interactive falconry experience you'll work closely with our birds, calling them to and from falconry gloves as they fly free over the scenic seaside bluffs of La Jolla. You will be thrilled by their amazing aerobatic capabilities as they perform simulated hunting exercises. We'll discuss the flight styles, identification, and adaptations of diverse raptors. The purpose of this encounter is to bring you closer to birds of prey and give you a deeper understanding of their lives, ecology, and conservation challenges. - Price: 77$ per participant, 35$ observer (Observers can be added as an add-on at checkout) - Duration 1.5 to 2 hours. - Age minimum: 5 + years old for participants, 3 +years old for observers - Please note children under 12 must sign up with an adult participant. - All fitness levels, inclusive of those with mobility issues - Make sure to read our booking policy and FAQ before choosing your experience

Cancellation Policy

We will reserve your activity upon receipt of full payment. Children 12 and under must sign up with one adult. Due to the limited number of spots per class, we request that you cancel a group class or a Private Class 2 weeks in advance in order to obtain a refund. We'll accept cancellation requests received via email within two weeks to 48 hours from the existing appointment and we will offer you to rebook your class, or credit in the form of a Gift Certificate. Cancellation requests received less than 48 hours from the appointment or no shows will not be accepted and may be forfeit. Refunds will undergo a handling fee equal to the processing fee which is typically 2.9% +30c. Gift Cards and Gift Certificates will not be refunded. We reserve the right to cancel reservations at any moment on the basis of unsafe wheather conditions or safety concerns for our handlers or our birds. If, due to weather or to other safety reasons, we cannot provide the activity on the agreed upon date, we will reschedule to a later date. Dogs may not be present during any part of the activity as they may scare the raptors. We do our best to hold our experiences as described but our raptors have strong opinions, weather may change suddenly and other external factors beyond our control may affect our experiences. Participants and observers are required to acknowledge the risks associated with the activity and sign a third-party release form. Total Raptor Experience, its owners, employees or sponsors shall be under no liability whatsoever to a student for any loss, injury or damage sustained while in class, regardless of where the class takes place, whether in respect of any negligent act or omission by the school or employees.
