Here, Bunco the Lanner falcon and Logan the Harris’s hawk perform nearly identical crosswind spot landings. Note differences in their wingspans, tail lengths, and wing shapes. The falcon is built for speed, while the hawk is built for quick acceleration. This is one of the topics we humans discuss during our Falconry Experience in La Jolla, but our birds excel at demonstrating those differences in person!
